A note from the photographer:
Thanks for posting the images of Keith Newcomer on your website. I am the photographer. My name is Gary Lynch. I lived in Humboldt from 1969 – 91. I was a friend of Tom Pratte’s and know Mark Massara well. I have many fond memories of the ‘early’ days of surfing Humboldt. Keith was one of my surfing buddies. Like many, we all respected Keith for his work in the community and his ability to become a successful businessman.

  1. He liked to surf and to fly. At least he died doing what he liked. His son didn’t get the chances he had and that brings much more sorrow.
