Duke is featured on My Daguerrotype Boyfriend, “where early photography meets extreme hotness.”

Duke Kahanamoku, age 22, won the gold in 100m freestyle at the 1912 Olympics in Stockholm. During subsequent Olympics, he would win gold for the freestyle and the relay, and was a member of the men’s water polo team. Oh yes, this Hawaiian native also popularized surfing. Submitted by Zach

Love your ocean! Sadly a lot of the rubbish you see on the side of the roads eventually makes it into our waterways, and the ocean. Join Surfrider and friends to walk along the 101 HWY North of Trinidad (Seawood Dr. Exit) to pick up trash. We will provide supplies.
