Stand up to oppose offshore oil drilling and support clean energy!
This Saturday June 26th, Baykeeper, Surfrider, the Northcoast Environmental Center and more will be gathering together on Moonstone Beach in Westhaven at 11 a.m. as part of ”Hands Across the Sand” – an international message to electeds to show our support for clean energy and our opposition to offshore oil drilling!

Hands Across the Sand is a movement made of people of all walks of life and crosses political affiliations. This movement is not about politics; it is about protection of our coastal economies, oceans, marine wildlife, and fishing industry. Let us share our knowledge, energies and passion for protecting all of the above from the devastating effects of oil drilling.
Directions to the Moonstone Beach:
From the south, take the Westhaven Exit (#726A) off Highway 101, turn left to go under the Highway overpass, left on Scenic Drive, then right on Moonstone Beach drive.
From the north, take the 6th Ave. exit (#726B), turn left on 6th Ave. then right on Westhaven Drive. Go under the highway overpass, turn left on Scenic Drive, then right on Moonstone Beach Drive.
